Liaisons and Relationships

The Calendaring and Scheduling Consortium will establish and maintain relationships with external Standards Development Organizations and other organizations as appropriate to further its purposes. Such relationships may take the form of formal liaisons, informal partnerships, or reciprocal membership agreements, at the discretion of the Consortium Steering Committee.

The Consortium has a formal liaison relationship with the Open Mobile Alliance Data Synchronization Working Group.

The Consortium maintains an informal relationship with the Internet Engineering Task Force as most of the standards towards which the Consortium contributes work products are IETF RFCs.

The Consortium has a Reciprocal Membership relationship with OASIS, the Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Systems, in particular to further work on the XML representation of iCalendr (xCal) and web services support for calendaring and scheduling information (CalWS).
