DST and the Energy Policy Act of 2005
The Consortium issued a pair of Advisory Notices regarding the provision in the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (House version) changing the start and end times of Daylight Savings Time as of March 2005.

The Congressional Advisory is intended to alert Congress as to the implications of the act with respect to potential changes in calendaring software.

The DST Advisory Notice is an more in-depth consideration of the issues.
The Consortium also issued a press release on its concerns about the lack of time being suggested before the extended DST change might occur.
