CalConnect XXV - October 1-5 2012

Special Registration Fees: For CalConnect XXV, the registration fee for first-time-attendees from non-members is a single fee of $350 which covers one participant in either the Interoperability Test Event, the Roundtable Technical Conference, or both. You must execute separate registration forms to attend both the Roundtable and the Interoperability Test Event but the single fee applies.

The venue for CalConnect week will be at Google’s Zurich campus, located at Brandschenkestrasse 110, 8002 Zurich. Zurich is served by Zurich International Airport (ZRH). Direct connections are available from most European cities and a number of North American cities.

Ground Transportation: From the airport, train S2 goes every 30 mins to station "Enge" (a 30 min ride), from there it’s a 10 min walk to Google or the B2 Hotel. Taxis are also available; the fee from the airport to Google is about CHF 40-50 and takes about 25 minutes depending on traffic.

Google has preferential rates available at three nearby hotels. The first one is right next to Google, the other two are a 10 min walk away. CalConnect attendees may use the Google preferred rate (not sure that it’s always the lowest rate available). To see the booking codes, member representatives may go to CalConnect XXV preferred hotel booking codes in the members area.

If you or your organization is not a CalConnect Member, we will send you the preferred booking codes upon request once you have registered for the event; contact Dave Thewlis.

The Roundtable begins with lunch on Wednesday and runs through Friday afternoon. Roundtable Technical Committee sessions will be held in the afternoon to facilitate remote participation; symposia and workshops may be held Thursday and Friday mornings.
