CalConnect Events

The Consortium holds three regular CalConnect Weeks each year. These events are generally held the first full week of February, June, and October, but may be shifted a week or two either way at the convenience of the host or to avoid collision with other events of importance to CalConnect members.

CalConnect Weeks span Monday-Friday of a single week, and are comprised of
  • CalConnect Interoperability Test Events (IOP Test Events), Monday morning through Wednesday noon
  • CalConnect Roundtables (members' working meetings) Wednesday noon through Friday early afternoon
  • Occasional workshops or tutorial sessions, in parallel with part of the IOP test event or integrated into the Roundtable
The schedule of the CalConnect Week may be modified as necessary to accommodate special requirements (such as holding Roundtable sessions only in the afternoon for an event in Europe, to assist remote participation), but will usually follow the model above.

CalConnect may also hold special events such as Workshops or Mobile Calendaring Interoperabilty Test Events separate from its regularly scheduled CalConnect Weeks when necessary.

A non-member may be an Observer at a single Roundtable to determine whether they wish to join.

Members and non-members may be observers at a single IOP Test Event to assess the process and in particular to gain a greater understanding and optimize participation in future IOP test events.

Logistics information for each coming event is provided as soon as possible after the preceding event is over. As the event gets nearer, schedules and topical agendas and registration links will be posted.

Following each CalConnect Week, a report of the Roundtable is posted to CalConnect Roundtables and a pbulic report on the Interoperability Test Event is published at CalConnect Interoperability Test Event Reports.
