Timezone Technical Committee closed; work program completed

The CalConnect TIMEZONE Technical Committee was originally chartered to develop problem statements and recommendations for managing time zone data in iCalendar, and recommendations for a TIMEZONE Registry and TIMEZONE service. The TC was reactivated in 2007 to develop the Time Zone Data Distribution Service specification, and to help progress it to a standard.

Cronofy Joins CalConnect

CalConnect welcomes Cronofy as a member of the consortium. Cronofy, based in Nottingham, United Kingdom, provides a unified calendar API to allow application developers to integrate their apps and services with calendar services.

Two CalConnect Specifications have become IETF RFCs (proposed standards)

The IETF has announced that two CalConnect specifications submitted to the IETF have been approved and published as RFCs (proposed standards).
